🧹 Beatrice – Summoning the Unknown 🧹

Our spooky community designed figure is here! Introducing Beatrice and Kuro (Her sneaky black cat.)
This month’s figure really leaned heavily into the Halloween theme. Not just her being a Witch, but all the decisions around her clothing and base.

I didn’t want her to just have cobwebs and pumpkins everywhere. I wanted her outfit to have some slightly more subtle motifs. I made this kind of cage spiders web over her skirt which works really nicely. I also created some stylised skulls and tried to weave them into her design.

A strong visual that came through just while sculpting her was roses.

It all spiralled from me sketching out her wand. I liked the idea of twisted wood, and I thought of rose bushes. I also thought that rose details would work really nicely with the lace areas of her outfit.

And of course we have Kuro!! I wanted him to feel really stylised but not overtly cute. I put him with slightly more narrowed eyes. To make you feel there is more intelligence there than meets the eye. I also made Kuro as a completely separate character. So, if you want to print him just on his own you can!
